Hi, How do you set up your computer to bypass the windows starup screen and show the memory and stuff loading???? Is it a setting in BIOS. I can't figure it out. Thanks

Open up your MSDOS.SYS file which should be in your root directory and ad the following line in:

Logo=0

Save and reboot...

Or you can use Tweak UI in windows. Go to boot tab and unclick 'display splash screen while booting'.

Still can't figure it out. I want to be able to have no startup screen and be able to see everything loading, memory, devices etc. I thought you changed something in your BIOS. Dunno. :( :( :(

I think Wallygator means the BIOS logo that some PC manufacturers install that hides the post routine screen echos. That is an addition to the BIOS that is hard coded, and isn't easy to remove or replace.

You'd need to know machine code well, and be able to write your own program to flash the bios chip with. I searched the web a while back about this issue, and found very little in the way of help. It can be done, but I'll bet you won't find any easy way.

If you know the exact BIOS chip on your mobo, you MAY be able to flash it with a different version that doesn't have the PC manufacturers crap in it.

simply rename the logo.sys file in your c:\ root directory to something like logo.bak. also change your logos.sys and logow.sys to logos.bak and logow.bak respectivly. these two files are in your windows folder

Thats a good program X-Tex , because Gateway dose have one start up screen that must be disable from the bios. Which this program will do for you plus. Save you the hassle of going into the bios to do it. Glad to here you got it fixed.!;)
