How do you format windows ME

My friend wants to totally format his c:\ drive and he has windows ME, what should i tell him to do, thanx.

Boot into a Win98 startup disk and type:

format c:

At the A:> prompt

My good friend Norm is having a brain fart. Go into bios and set it to boot from CD. Through the cd in and turn it on. You will get a menu. Start with cdrom support. at the dos prompt type what norm said above. This CD is bootable with all the dos commands on it, you don't need a 98 startup floppy. after formatting type setup to continue the install.

Why are you formatting anyways?
