View Full Version : Auto Insert notification in W2k SP2
I have W2k SP2.
I want to Turn of Auto Insert Notification for my CD-RW drive HP CD-Writer 9100i
where do I go to do this?
It's not in system CD-Drive Properties.....
To disable AutoPlay
Double-click My Computer.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File
Types tab.
In Registered file types, click AudioCD, and then click Advanced.
In Actions, click Play, and then click Set Default.
You can temporarily disable AutoPlay by pressing SHIFT while you
insert an audio CD.
Repeating steps 1 through 4 enables AutoPlay.
When Play is displayed in bold, AutoPlay is enabled. When Play is
not displayed in bold, AutoPlay is disabled.
I'd do this. Go Start>Run then type gpedit.msc. Navigate to the Administrative Templates>System on both the User and Computer Configuration. Enable the Disable AutoPlay Policy.
Can't remember for sure but can't you go into device manager and disable it?
This should do it for ya
