Hi Everybody,

I want to move a huge amount of data (e.g 25 mb to 50 mb) from one remote server to another remote server. And i don't have telnet access.
Moreover i don't want to stay connected all the time.
Does anybody know a tool that can be useful to me ??
Any help in this regard would be sincerly appreciated..
Eagerly awaiting any response

Thanks/Regards

25 - 50 megs = huge amount? LOL....I"ll show ya a huge amount to move.

Anyways, some good means through either dial up or broadband or ethernet, since you didn't state what type of connection you have, PcAnywhere does a good job with it's file transfer.

Or if you have access to an http download site

Or just snag a good ol Iomega Zip drive...since you're moving under a hundred megs

Or burn to cd....

Or if you have ICQ installed, an ICQ file transfer is the easiest thing ever. Just right-click the file/directory in Explorer, choose Send through ICQ, then specify to whom. You have to have ICQ installed on both comps for it to work though, just add the second computer's ICQ number to your Contact List. I recently sent a 120Mb file to a friend using this method - I was only getting about 80 k/s rates but still not bad.

I'm hanging with stonecat on this! Large amounts of data are in the 300 gb range.

Hi,

I happened to come across a site
http://www.ftpy-ah.com
this site may not be perfect but it does serve the purpose of transfer of data from one server to another. And it is unbelieveably fast.
The main problem with the site is that it does not allow you to access your local Hard Disk.
