I am running Win98SE. 127mb or Ram.
I just got CableNuts. I want to tweak it so pages will load faster...downloads will be faster... and all around every thing will be as fast as it could possibly be. Please help by telling me what I should change. Thanks.

First of all, Look over the Help thread below. Apply everything that it says on there. Post your TCP/IP test results here. Test at the top of the page.:)

TCP options string = 020405b401010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 65535
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 65535
Note: Under Windows 9x, if you have RWIN set to any other value, and the Analyzer reports 65535 you might need to install the MS Vtcp386 fix.
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2621.4 kbps (327.675 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1048.56 kbps (131.07 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 36 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Here is what I was told to put on the board. Please help. Thanks

This is after I installed the Vtcp386 Fix below...

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5139.2 kbps (642.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2055.68 kbps (256.96 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

I am using the Cable Nuts adjuster. If you have any ways i can make my ocnnection as fast as possible please share. Will raising the RcvWindow accomplish ne thing? Please tell me all suggestions.

Go to Speedguides tweaks here-below in my signature. Once on patch page you need Vtcp386 Fix
patch for your OS (Make sure you get right one) Download and install, reboot, and retest and do this please so I can make sure patch is in:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Thank you.:)
