I just called my cable comp about slitting my connection between my TV and Cable modem. They told me, if i do, it might cuase a prob, I am just gunna ignore them... lol.. What is the right splitter to get?
You'll want to get a splitter that is rated at 500 Mhz or lower...make sure it has a high dB loss on it's output legs....oh, and make sure that you buy it at Radio Shack...
j/k...actually, what you want is a 1GHz or above splitter, as most systems have their downstream frequency above 500 MHz. The reason that the cable co. told you that there may be a problem is because of the fact that splitters drop signal, and if your connection is borderline to begin with, the splitter will push it over the edge...
