I just got my modem, and cable access through @home, and I DO NOT want to install their software.
So what do I do first, what info do I need, what tweaks if any should I get.
I'm not really one for doing things the wrong way, so I would like to skip all the BS.
just a little assistance or at least a shove in the right direction would be nice.
Click on help thread below in signature and follow directions exactly, please leave your OS and system specs if you have not done so.Also if you have Cablenuts adjuster installed I need to know that. There are some Tips and how to do speed test on help thread. Thank you and good luck.:) :)

I downloaded cablenuts adjuster last night.
If you did not install ccs file, download SG's patches, take analyzer and post results:)

Just so you know, I'm Starting from ground zero I'm on the phone with Comcast right now to get my computer name and access activation. is there any thing else I need?

I am starting from the very beginning. I'm a little new to the cable access so bear with me.
No, just install Cablenut first, then SG's patches, then post analyzer results and we will see if RWIN needs to be adjusted, please tell me your OS, CPU size, and amount of RAM:)
