TCP options string = 020405b40103030001010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 62420
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 62420
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2496.8 kbps (312.1 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 998.72 kbps (124.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 51 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

i have just installed 256 mb more ram for a total of 320,up from 128. using win 98 se,400 mz p2. do i need to change anything?? thanks, everyone
256 + 128 = 320 X
384 is your ammount of ram.
Do you know how to change Rwins? If so, try 128480, 256960, 140160, and 150380. If you don't know how to change Rwins, then post here and I will give you instructions.
That does not appear to be a SG speed patch, if you are using someones elses speed patch, with a RWIN of 64240, the settings would be different for a larger RWIN, so to make a long story short, follow directions on help thread below:)

Lobo's telling stories? Yea... I got to listen to this one..:p
Some peopl's patches are not set up for large RWIN's
From help thread:
To prevent problems in the future I will only recommend RWIN's to people who have Speedguide's speed patch installed, common sense dictates that most setting's in a patch are centered around the RWIN they use, Speedguide uses mostly Windows default settings so I am willing to try different RWIN's, I do not know how they work with other patches, so please have Speedguide's speed patch in. :)
would that be sguide_tweak_98.inf that i need?if so i have it and i thought i installed it,but maybe not. i ve beenhaveng trouble installing some patches. a note to e.s.c.: i took out 64 out of 128 and added 256 to the 64 left for a total of 320. sorry for the confusion. anyway,if the one above is the one i need, then i ll try to instal it again.
thanks again,guys
brad
tried re installing the two tweaks i have in my tweak folder. they were sguide_tweak98.inf and another PH webtweak 9x,i think. anyway, heres what it lookTCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

Yes, now you have got it right. Follow the instructions below:

Open up the adjuster, Find DEFAULTRCVWINDOWS, left hand, type in the following numbers, one at a time. 373760, 131400, 51100, and 75920. Reboot after you put one number in. Take a speed test, instructions below in the help thread. Take 3 at one time and average them out. If one test has a speed that's 2mb and the other 2 shows 500kbps, then don't count the 2mb in. Once you have done the tests. Put another number in Cablenut, reboot, and retake the test again. It may take about 10 min, but it's worthwhile in the end.

:)
I would try:
For Win 9x bring up Cablenuts adjuster inside icon on desktop in box that says Cablenut, click on adjuster, in box that says DefaultRvcWindow take out number that is in there and put in one of these, 1 at a time, try: 348720, 373760 or 385440
Leave GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize blank
You do not have to show me but check analyzer here at SG to make sure RWIN is in, you will see number right after (RWIN) on analyzer
At bottom click save to registry, and REBOOT each time you change value in adjuster or it will not work.Click on tools at top of IE, internet options, delete files and offline files (This is safe, temp files) and click on clear history after EVERY test Quick speed test here (http://speedtest.umnet.umich.edu/)
Speedtest may open another browser, so check taskbar and close other one, no other programs should be running, No AIM, ICQ, Virus scanner, Firewall, nothing
Once you find fast number for you, you want to save it, on file at top of adjuster click on that, save custom settings, put RWIN size in as name and click on save, now if you ever want these settins back, click on file, open custom settings file, and click on RWIN number, then click on save to registry at bottom, and REBOOT, your done. How to do real dowwnload test on help thread below in signature. This is all I recommend, if anyone else jumps in with something else, good luck, but it did not come from me.:)
