Have a few questions for you.

1.) I have a 3COM 10mb ISA Network Card that I got when they installed my DSL. Do you think it would make a difference in performance by switching it to a 10/100mb 3COM PCI Network card?

2.) Would it be better performance by going with CAT5e netwok cable or using the new CAT6 network cable?

3.) I was at a Best Buy and I saw this ASDL protector thing for the wall jack. They claim to prevent noise and possible crossover between the voice and data lines. Anyone know if these work or are they a waste?

Thanks

You may want to consider getting a PCI because overall performace of it will be much better........

as for the cables with a DSL connection it wont matter since you wont go over the max of a regular cat5 cable. Cat5e and Cat6 will work better if you are going to be trying to achieve maximum speed on a LAN.

It's probably a low-pass filter that you plug your telephone into if it shares your line with DSL. If you don't have a phone on that line, you've got no use for it.
