Nhl 2002 problems :-(

I cannot get NHL 2002 to work reliably during an online game. Here are my system specs. 450 p2, 160 megs of ram. 16 meg voodoo banshee agp card, windows XP professional. I don't know really which settings to pick from the nhl 2002 main menu. I click on play an online game, create a game. But do I pick peer-to-peer or client/server? I need help, I'm lost. Never played any game online before. Any help would be greatly appreciated

you shouldnt pick peer-to-peer because i think that that option it's for lan games with a T connection

try by selecting client/server or try to get in a room already open by someone else
