big problem for a buddy of mine
amd Duron 800, 250 Mo ram, adsl pppoe connection and speed no more than 280 kbit/sec (ISP ad speed 1000 kbit/sec).
dual boot with Me and W2000, he tested with Me (i told him W2k is better for the net, more settings too)
here is the problem i think : hub 10/100 but only one pc connect to it (...?!), he tested without hub too (pc connect directly on modem) but reported same slow speed
nic card in pc
cablenut and SG adsl patch installed, same low speed with 31944 or 255552
Same speed with high and low rwin seems strange. Something is stick somewhere
