Anyone have this problem w/ Outlook 98?

When I try to install Outlook 98 on my computer, it starts installing the ACME engine, and then gets stuck at 4% EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I went and tried to install it on my wife's laptop - no problem. I've tried to erase any files regarding Outlook 97 from my computer, but it does have Outlook Express. But then, my wife's laptop had OE on it and, as I said, it installed with no problem. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Introduction
Outlook 98 is the upgrade to the version of Outlook that comes with Office 97. Before installing Outlook 98, you must have Office 97 and its service release applied. Approximately 40 MB of space are needed. If you are uncertain of these requirements, please contact your assigned departmental consultant.

Procedure
Run \\uwapps\outlook98\setup.exe (This will open the install menu.)
From the install menu, select Install Outlook 98 (This will start a series of dialog boxes.)
Click on Next on the Outlook 98 Setup dialog box.
Select I accept the agreement on the License Agreement dialog box.
The next dialog box, User Information, may already be filled in. If not, complete it with the requested information.
For Installation Option, select standard.
The next dialog box, Outlook Mail Usage, concerns whether or not Outlook 97 is installed and being used. If Outlook97 is being used, select yes.
The Schedule+ Support dialog box concerns which scheduling program is in use. The options are for using the scheduling feature of Outlook 98 or for Schedule+. Select according to which scheduling program is in use.
The Installation Location dialog box allows an installation location other than the default; enter a new location if desired.
At this point, at the Preparing Setup dialog box, files will be installed. This will take several minutes.
After files have been installed, rebooting is required, after which settings will be finalized.
To run Outlook 98, double-click on the Outlook icon on the desktop.
