what avi player to get?

I have some files in .avi format I have divx plug-ins for my windows media player and also the latest upgrades for wmp. yet, it still says the file is in an invalid format.

any good avi players out on the market?

what are you talking about... you've given it 15 whole minutes for something that a lot of people have no real opinion on! I like playa and mp8 myself. global puts on some really nasty spyware, so I stay away from the now
