Hi Guys!
I need your help please ;)
I currently have a NETGEAR RO318 router. When I go to the tcp analyzer my rwin stays at 2048. I have removed my 56k modem thinking that would be it.
I then decided to take off the router and test again and tcp analyzer was able to display my current rwin.
I'm not sure why but when I tested my settings at dslreports the tweak tester they have there was able to display my rwin even behind a router. If anybody knows any fix for this I would appreciate it.
Thank you all!
Carla ;)
See if there is a firmware upgrade at www.netgear.com :)

Not familiar with that particular router but my Linky has many tcp/ip options that are configurable - like MTU for one. I thought that those tests would report values in your router, not one of the client machines.

Are you sure you're applying the proper change for your OS? Router is ignored if you're running the dslreports RWIN diagnostics. The RWIN registry fix for XP is the same used for W2K just so you know.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\TCPIP\PARAMETERS
DWORD: TCPWINDOWSIZE = 64240 (Decimal)

Hiya,
Thanks for replying.
Okay I know what you guys are talking about TCPWINDOWSIZE which I have done plenty of times using cablenut adjuster.
Without any TCP values Windows should go back to default Rwin. However it is going to 2048 which is 56k rwin.
I am on DSL so it should be at least 64000 =). I'm just totall lost with this. Oh well thanks though

Just so you know. I even entered the value you recommended . Rebooted and tested but it's still showing 2048 =(
Carla, Bring up adjuster, under option at top, click, show paths=YES, then RIGHT click on TcpWindonSize, it should show you path to registry, go there and make sure RWIN is right:)
Right click on words TcpWindowSize
