I have a DSL PPPoE connection and did all the tweaks through the registry. I'don't know why the MTU reads 1454 from the Analyzer even though the setting is 1492 in the registry, could it be that my ISP's MTU is limited to 1454 ?, also is theree any way I can speed up my upload speed or does the MTU settings cover both upload and download ?

TCP options string = 020405860103030201010402

MTU = 1454
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.

MSS = 1414
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1414, which is equal to MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 260176
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 65044
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
520352 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
130088 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
65044 (MSS x 46)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10407.04 kbps (1300.88 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4162.816 kbps (520.352 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 50 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Try the crazyman tweak. Don't do it if you are not experienced with Computers. You may want to try a lower number such as 32767, 22000, or 11000. It depends on how your computer reacts to the tweaks though. Rest of the tweaks are down on the bottom. Enjoy.:)

See help thread below in signature for different ways to change MTU in PPPoE:)
