ONLY when i'm using a peer to peer program,EDONKEY,i have this error message,see the title,when i'm triying to access a web site,the access takes a long time :sleep: and finally , i have a blank web page, this page can't be opened--------refresh--------,after a great number of clikings,:mad: ,i can or not, it's depends,accessing to my web site :rotfl: , help me plz:cry:

Does this happen with every site? Go into your hosts file (search for it, never specified which OS you're running on). When you find it, open it up with Notepad. See if the sites you cannot reach are listed there. If so, delete them and save it. You should be able to reach that site from now on.

thx for reply,i'm running on win 98 se 4.10.222,what's the exact name of this file,"hots in windows dir???,if so,i have found it,there are two line with
127.0.0.1 pop3.norton.antivirus # Added by Norton AntiVirus for e-Mail scanning

Yes, that's the file. Is the URL of the site you can't reach in there? If so, remove it and you should be able to reach the site again.

Turn off your computer. Unplug your modem and router for a minute or two. Plug back in your modem and router, then your computers. This will fix the dns errors.
