Anyone thinking of putting a fan under your high speed dsl or cable modem?i found that the modems (also linky routers) get really hot on the bottom and i think it might be better to use some kind of passive solutoins to cool it....... :D

will it interfere with the xdsl/cable signals?
and how powerful should it be?(stick a 80mm fan on the top blowing into the holes on the modem/router?
any thoughts?

They are designed for it. Guess a fan would not hurt?

U have a network cabnet inside the cabnet I rigged a small fan to blow cool air on the equipment. I feel it has made a difference in the overall "coolness" of the system. I think if any thing can run cooler it is better off.:2cool:
