where are you downloading from??? If it is a slow server it may start off fast and then go down to the speed of the server. Try downloading AOL www.aol.com and go all the way to the bottom where it says download AOL 6.0. They have a fast server so it should go fast there. There is nothing you can do to increase the speed if you download off a slow server except try finding a faster server.

also have you tried tweaking?? If not go over to the tweaking forum and run the tweak test and post the results over there.

Hmm I think eveyone is right. File downloads really depend on the server you are downloading from. I have down loaded files with a T3 connection and had it blazing fast at the beginning and go to to semi-blazing at the end:D in other words it went down. I am on DSL now and some servers it's a constant download speed some are not. So this has led me to this conclusion. If everything is tweaked and all is running good then there is not much elese to do:D
