HORRIBLE lag problem on CABLE mind you :P

k, normally i dont ask for help and all that, i try to find things out for myslef,
but now im in deep ****

ok, now, i used to get (when playing games) like 30-70 ping,
but since about 2 months, everything has slowed down tremendously,

now i download crap at 5k/sec, and i get 4000ms pings!
and i dont know what to do!

did u try calling your isp about it? what are your computer specs? and do u defrag? thatll slow u down if u dont.

Sounds like a cable return problem. Sometimes calling the cable company direct will get things rolling. If you have digital cable, also, it might help to tell them you tv picture quality is poor to get a line tech out to check the signal.

Sneaky. I did the same thing with my dsl. When I first got it put in was having line sync problems. DSL company wanted to send out one of there tech's witch would have been like 200 bucks. Instead I a regular phone guy come out and check the wiring inside the house. He fixed the problem and it didn,t cost a thing. We have inside wire maintenance contract which includes free repair. Cool eh? Try it it may work with the cable company too

i called and turns out code red ****ed them over
it should be back to normal in mid-october
