darn virus!! my cable modem goin nuts and i have crap for speed is it me or u guys geten the same???? + iv been readen up on the new virus it can hit any OS so becare full comes in a email......

I know you dont want to hear this, but I've gotten better speeds this week then I've gotten in almost a year! They've done some serious work on my server, which is the cause; but I'm very happy to finally be getting a half meg/s.

Net speeds are slow, seriously s-l-o-w.
Maybe some of the problem is all the pictures that are being sent to all points.
Guess we just have to live with it for a while.
To get the "Post Reply" page up to post this took just on 1 minute. (Dialup) That was quick compared to last night (our time).

Yea gusse we will but its got to make u mad that some hacker would wanna do this for a kick!!! 3 day ago i was 55 to 60 times faster then 56k now 16-36 that a realy big slow down.. i dont know what them peeps with that sever that need the patch is doin!!!upgrade!!! plz :) ther got to just as many infeted as code red if not more cuz my cable modem is goin crazy with activity...wow croc on a dial up thats 1 thing i dont miss is my old 56k

I just d/loaded the latest update for my AVG AV program. Took 20 minutes to get it.
After reading a bit I will take back the picture comment. Seems to be the NIMDA worm causing all this.
So this stays in the Security Forum (LOL) AVG has been to the fore and were among the first to release a fix for NIMDA. New update out. They have been busy lately. I've lost count but it must be 3 this month so far. Thanks Grisoft, again.

If you have IE5.5 SP2 or IE5.01 SP2 you are supposed to be ok. Hmmmm, just checked.... oops, IE.5 SP1 this way and no way will I d/load SP2 with speeds like 0.06kb! :mad: :mad: :mad:

If the guy who released this is found, kick his ass till his nose bleeds... please.
