Sircam vs. McAfee

I contracted the Sircam virus about three weeks ago and since I didn't have an up to date scan, I bought McAfee Virus Scan, which got rid of it fine and solved my problems, but now I have a new problem. Ever since I got rid of the virus, my connection had been really slow, as in 85k. Any ideas?

You could try rebuilding your Network card. The virus may have messed up a few files for it. Plus try repairing your Internet explorer. It hard to say what the virus did before you got it removed from your computer. Also if you installed safe and sound that came with Mcafee. I would uninstall It will slow down your connection. I use Mcafee But never use safe and sound because of that reason. My speed are fine. Hope this helps you out!;)
