friend of mine is has a win 2k pro computer which when booted logs on, as default without password prompt, as a restricted user. the problem is the user she's logged in as does not have admin priviliges/functions, particularly the unistalling of applications, which is what we need to do. unfortunately, she dos not have the password for the administator, not does she even have the password for the user she's logged in as. i got her emailing her mother and sister(who shared the computer with her during the summer and probably set the passwords for both when the 14 day prompt came up) but so far no luck in getting either. so the question is is there anyway to either log in as the admin w/out a password or at least give her current login profile admin priviliges without knowing any of those passwords, or are we SOL unles we reinstall the whole thing? we can't change anything under "users and password" in the control panel because it asks for an admin password prompt, and when we try to change somehting under admin tools-->local security settings, it won't save the changes becasue we are not logged in as an admin. any help appreciated
