Hi

I've just installed Linux Mandrake 8.0
Where can I get help for specific things.
For instance: Only root can shutdown, I've given the other users access to shutdown in userconf. but it says it doesn't find shutdown. then I copy shutdown to /bin and make it available to everybody with chmod. now it says you must be root to shutdown.

I also cannot get my Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO to work.
I've downloaded the drivers from www.linuxvideo.com/GATOS
do I need XFree86 4.1.0 for it to work.....that's what I understand.

Wow!! You figured all of that out and you use Mandrake :D

Anyway, read the man pages on the sudo pacakge. It allows you to give specific users root privileges for certain task (like rebooting or halting).
