I know there is a way to trace what the service and control app and the general host are doing online, but I cant seem to find it anymore. I believe it has to be run from the command prompt, any help?

The services and controller app, as well as the generic host often need to connect to the internet. In fact, you usually can not connect to the internet unless you give them premission. Now, I did come accross a command line thing you can use that will list what programs are using those applications to access the internet. Perhaps I was mistaken, but I am almost sure. If anyone knows of what you must type, please let us know!
thanks!
Are you talking about netstat?
I know that in Linux I can list which programs are bound to which port ->

I'm not sure if the netstat that Microsoft ported over from FreeBSD can do the same function :D
