I know I should know this, in fact I probably do. I cant seem to remember though how to track down my DHCP server IP address. I want to create a fixed IP address, but I need the DHCP IP #.
thanks!

IPCONFIG or WINIPCFG should do it. You'll want to use IPCONFIG /ALL if your on Win2k, which I think you are.
it will give you a list of all the info.
do this in a DOS box too.

Curious why you want to know the address of your DHCP server though...what/how you could use that information.

my mistake. I wasnt looking for the address of my dhcp server, I was looking for the addresses of my DNS servers. My IP is renewed every three hours and my area DHCP server has been having problems. I wanted a permant IP address.
Works great now!
