I'm having difficulties getting my DSL to work in WinXP. I've been using winME without any probs, but XP is quite different. I have a speedstream 3060 and using the latest drivers 3.3.

After installing the drivers it creates three network connections. One for the modem itself, and then a virtual network 1483-something for the modem. The third connection is an emulated LAN (ELAN) which I can't enable. Status for this one says "network cable unplugged". I've setup everything like it should, the only thing I'm not sure about is the VCI/VPI. Right now it's 0/35. I've tried a lot of things and can't figure it out. I can't even ping my gateway. I believe the problem is related to the ELAN. I'm new to the XP/Win2k scene and don't know much about it. It all works perfectly in WinME. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
Latsabb

did you go through the networking wizard? I know you HAVE to do that on the final build or ur not going to go anywhere online. Also did you try bridgin the connections? I dont really know to much about dsl and xp, my cable runs just fine so I'm happy. :P

XP is a very clean and good os though, hope you get it working.

Also remember that unlike ME which is basically 98 with a few enhancments. XP is 2000/NT based, your driver selection for things should be made accordingly.
