Ok, I know what the mean in terms of the bandwidth, but where did the names come from for T, E, DS, OC, and STS, such as T3, E3, DS-2, STS12, OC 48. Do they stand for anything? And why couldn't they just use the same thing for all of them, and just change the prefix or something, like the metric system? Stupid question perhaps, but I'm curious. It's all because of that ad on here for liquidpages.com, where they say they have a dual oc-48 connection.
