Mac as in Macintosh PPC not MAC as in data link layer...
I got ahold of an old PPC an I'm installing Linux on it for use as a router/firewall/mail server (home use, very light load). I'm not a Mac man at all so this might be a dumb question for those in the know. Anywho I need to know if I can use the built in network interface of the Mac (AppleTalk plug?) and get an adapter to my 10/100 Ethernet or whether it would be better to buy a separate NIC and install that?
I know this is a primarily Windows based board from what I've read but if anyone knows of any issues with PPC's and Linux feel free to add your 2 cents as well.
Thanx,
Bob
