Okay, just looking for any thoughts here. When this Code Red thing came out, my modem light blinked just like everyone elses. When I powered off my PC, the light stopped blinking. Now (within the past week), my light on my SB3100 blinks even with the puter powered off.
Thoughts?

Though I'm not familiar with your modem, my ventured guess is still the Code Red scans. I can shut mine off and it still flashes away also. I'm using the Toshiba PCX1100 modem. Basically, just because you turn your computer off doesn't mean that data isn't still being fed through the cable company line. I'd sure to see this end soon.:(

Have a SB3100. Has been doing the same thing for the past few weeks. Tech said was no security problem.

Yes, I knew there wasn't a security problem with the computer off. It just struck me funny that the Activity light did not blink at all (with puter off) since I got it (8 months). Even during the height of the code red thing, the light didn't blink. Then, bang, it is blinking intermitantly for about 3 weeks. Maybe it is just the amount of info passing through lately. Just glad to know everyone else is still seeing this too.
