I've been using telus adsl for only a week, when i first installed it it went smoothly(pages loaded like they were on my hd), but after a few day things began to look ugly....high latency and long stalls. The download speed was ok(1135k/s), but the upload speed was only 15k/s. Then I noticed something went terribly wrong.
Here's my latency test results:
www.dslreports.com/speedresults/c34c8b6b9c99/508018
and my speed test results:
www.dslreports.com/speedtests/1135774;15850;d8515ff03f80f7021b93bbef8f80e7c4;1.1
HELP!!! What's the problem??? is it the isp or my computer?

Here are the SG Analyzer results in case you want to take a look:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)
TCP options string = 020405b40103030001010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 32768
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 32768
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1310.72 kbps (163.84 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 524.288 kbps (65.536 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF
Time to live left = 83 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

just wondering are u on the @home network? I have the same problem that u are having along with a couple of my friend. I keep calling tech support but they put me through the "in-plug modem" bullcrap everytime I call. I would like this problem resolved if anyone knows what is going on.

Actually I'm not using @home, I'm using ADSL on DHCP, some of my friends who use @home have the same problem...
Thanx for the rwin Lobo!!

I changed the rwin value, the download speed improved a bit, but the upload speed is the same.
There is no way to tweak upload speed, I talked to @home yesterday and they said that Code red virus is still affecting speed,
don't know when it will be fixed:)

I just called my isp, they said they're having the same problem in my area, probably some burnt oc12 cards. I've been only using adsl for a week and they had been down 3 times.
But thanx for your help Lobo!;) :)
