I saw that someone said that Internet Explorer 6 has spy ware included in it. Is this true?
Tell me what you know people.

If there is, it must have suffered a Fatal Error, cause I can't find it doing anything.

Could someone clarify their interpretation of spyware?
Then we can discuss what they think (OR KNOW) what their rendition of spyware is embedded in Windows XP or IE6.
I have been (officially) using XP (which includes IE6) before it became RC. I have not seen TINY or AD-AWARE react to anything to inform me that there is anything "calling home" from within the OS.
If the interpretation of "spyware" is being confused with $icrosoft's "activation" then that is a misunderstanding. The two are mutually exclusive, and OFFICE XP also has "activation".
The concept of "activation" is not new, it will proliferate with more applications. I am using a program called "Video Factory" and it has "activation" and after a certain number of re-installs, you have to call them to raise your ceiling for the number of "activations". It is NOT spyware.
So lets become more astute in our interpretation of "spyware" before we confuse it with activation.
PEACE!!!!!

The "IE 6 Spyware Ghost" I've heard many people say it exist, but haven't seen any proof of it myself. Not on any forum, not on any webpage.

Spyware Shmyware. I know you Speedguiders are smart enough to avoid any spyware crap. We have become paranoid of Microsoft.
I'm monitoring my PC constantly and have never had a problem. My question is, besides the dumb little features for pictures, what advantages does IE6 really give us?
