half life patch

Just wondering where anyone goes to update half life to the latest patch..... I used to get it from Planet Half Life but now they are asking to register and sign up with a valid credit card number????? I already have the latest patch but my neighbor just bought it and he needs to upgrade to v.1107 There are patches out there that upgrade any version to the latest version but cant find any. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

I just use the Sierra Utilities program that came on my Half-Life CD. It looks for all Sierra software on your system and checks for / installs updates:)

Just to point out on the planethalflife servers...they only want you to register for the private servers...if you still use the public server, you have to wait (typically, from my experience, around 15 minutes or so)
