ping and dsl

hello i have a prob with my ping i log onto a server which at about 2 months ago i had a 125ping now when i log onto that server i have 300 to 700 ping its all over the place. by the way i am on a dsl connection. My friends who log onto the server always have the same ping so i don't think its the server. Is there something wrong with my modem? plz help me get back my great ping

Try to do the 'tracert' command and see what server is causing your problem.....

That might help but unless you have a starting point, you won't know how to judge your results. Have your friends run the "tracert" and see how many hops it takes them to get to that site.

The site you go to might have more traffic on it.. That is why your connection will be slower.

Do you have problems going to other sites? If so, report it to your provider.
