Its the best. Trust me! ONLY FOR PPPoE though!
Then go to http://www.dslreports.com and start tweaking!
But if your advertised speeds are 640/90, then leave it where it is. The RASPPPoE is setup PERFECTLY for 640/90 speeds. Trust me. I've tried MANY tweaks running this software and there is no improvement (640/90 only!!!).
PS... did I stress 640/90 enough?
Oooops... I did it again!

It depend swhat you are looking for. If you want small and no features. RASPPPoE is great for that, and will do what ever dial-up networking can do. Though it does not work on NT or 95. I myself like EnterNet, lots of features etc. Though a bit of a pig on resources and it's not free.

Um.. Why does he have to go to another site and start tweaking when he's already at speedguide? He can tweak just fine here. And since you saw no improvement on your 640/90 package then I guess you didn't really tweak. I had the 640/90 package and I reached my maximum throughput with RASPPPoE. But like Bob, I myself like Enternet better.

No mention of WinPoet?
Here's what I want to know:
EnterNet 300 v1.5b or WinPoet v2.5?
Or neither?
Please help...

I'd take EnterNet over WinPoet in a heart beat. But with Windows 2000 RASPPPoE is very nice.

Hey, Bob
Does that mean there is something wrong with Winpoet?
I am running Win2k with Winpoet v2.1 (courtesy of Earthlink).
I used to run RASPPPoE with Win98 but was turned off by the long, drawn-out install. (At least that's how I remember it.)
I do realize that EnterNet costs money ($29.00 I think) and that it uses more system resources, but I have the resources to give.
I just want the best PPPoE client.
Also, if I want to purchase EnterNet, is it just a matter of entering a serial into the evaluation version or is it a separate download?
Thanx a lot.

No, there is nothing wrong with WinPoet. I really don't like the fact that it runs off of Windows Dial-up Networking. EnterNet has nice options etc. Persistent connection, connect on log-in, detailed logging, network status, ability to use multiple Ethernet adapters on the fly.
As for RASPPPoE, yes a very long install, but not a bad little peice of software, same options as WinPoet though, anything dial-up can do it can do.
