View Full Version : Roger Wilco vs. Battlecom
I wanna be able to play online games with my friend and to my clan where everone lives in a different state. Ive heard that the two best are roger wilco and battlecom. If there are any other programs that are better than both, then it would be nice to know.
Thx As Always

i use roger wilco it works great.
BattleCom is definetly better than Roger Wilco. If you want simple okay voice to voice communication then pick Rodger Wilco. BattleCom has better features. It allows you to pick the quality of the voice by taking bandwith and resources. More bandwith and resource better sound. I personally use BattleCom and its wonderful. If you dont have one right now then dont plan on looking for one. They stop distributing them. I have tried both and i like battle com better.

Where can i get battlecom?
Battlecom cant be found anywhere. I think somone bought them out. (me thinks microsoft). They chged it to GameVoice. Your best bet is asking somone for it or finding a clan who has it in their download page.
Thought so i didnt want to say them because i wasnt 100% sure:p
i use gamevoice i dunno about wilco or battlevoice
gv is ok but on my pc it lags
bc and rw dont lag anything. Go with bc if you can find it, but if you cant you have really no choice but Rw
i like roger wilco but i have never tried anyother, all my friends use wilco so no need to change.i get no lag with wilco.
When i had my 56k connection battlecom and gamevoice would lag me a bit but not roger wilco.

Do those voice programs work with all games?
I play Soldier of Fortune, Quake2, Quake3.
With my 56k bc never ever laged me at all. Keep in mind that battlecom was bought out so your best bet would be RW, but i prefer to use the dead battlecom. Battlecom supported most games, but you wont find support for it anymore.
