Well basically my dsl is running very slow and the dumb technicians don't know what to do when i call em , so im hoping that someone can help me out with my dsl problem.

just to make it easier : i have windows ME 1.1Ghz, 640Mb ram, and the resources are always above 75% w/the AOL program running
i went to DSL report and did a speed test , and it told me that my dsl speed was 26kbs download and 56kbs upload =o(

I understand why you have posted in this forum. The words "feedback and suggestions" refer to suggestions for the website.. not on help with technical issues. Try posting this in the Cable/dsl forums. You will find help there (ask for Lobo). Im sure a moderator will be kind enough to move this thread

Try not using aol's interface, can you browse the internet using ie instead of aol's interface, if so see if it is any better...:rotfl:

Please click in my signature where it says Test tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.

Are you on a PPPoE connection

PPPoE you have to log on with name and password.
PPPoE ( Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet ) is a method for building PPP sessions and encapsulating packets, as described in RFC2516. Although it is not a standard, PPPoE is already being used by a number of DSL providers. It requires either routers that have built-in PPPoE support, or PPPoE software to "dial up" and establish the session.
