My bios is asking for a password and i did ot set a password...nobody else did either. I am reloading 2 of my HDD's and when I go into change the boot options it asks for a password. I took the battery out of the mobo for about 10 mins. and it did not take it away and it should have. The interseting part is I loaded one of the HDD's with win2k and tried to connect to the net, I have cable and did not connect but would that have been long enough for a virus to slip through and corrupt my bios. I have the Gigabyte Dual Bios Raid board. I also tried to copy from the backup bios to the main and boot and it still asked for a password!! HELP!!!

it shows a place where there should be a jumper and it is labeled but no pins or jumper

You might wanna try this (http://www.tweakfiles.com/bios/bios.html). It will detect your BIOS passwords, etc. Worked on my Award BIOS but don't know about others. I have seen some mobos that will not clear its CMOS password when the battery is taken out. In that case you either reflash your BIOS with the /cc/cd/cp switch or use the clear-CMOS jumper located somewhere on the mobo. It is also possible, though, that the BIOS chip itself is damaged.
