Help With sguide_tweak_98.inf .. ASAP ..

Hello, I put in the sguide_tweak_98.inf tweak, for WinME , and I have seen nothing, but slower speeds sad to say...

But I want to remove it now ... and I didnt back up the pervious stuff..

Is there away I can delete what it installed or somthing so I can get my old speeds back!?!

You probably do not have patch installed do this and lets see
Please click in my signature where it says Test your tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.

Hey, why doncha make a few different standard responses? KornGuy stated, very clearly that he had infact installed the WinME patch. Your standard response might have confused the fella. A quick answer, like this:


THIS WILL RESTORE YOUR REGISTRY.

Default reg patch (http://www.speedguide.net/files/sguide_default_9x.zip)

Not being harsh, but helping out does mean some work.

Hey Guys, Im sorry I havent responded, I thank you for the help...

Lobo, I appericate the minor detail of what to do, but I was lost, and I really had no time to write back cause my cable is getting really sloppy right now, on and off alll day...

BremBo, Also thanks for that.. Let me clear up what I did for both of you, and then you tell me what to do exactly ..


Ok, Two weeks ago I saw this site, and I thought hmmm.. My cable speeds that I DL at is 90K, I dont see why not I shouldnt DL a little tweak to boost me alittle. So I DLed it, Right Click and Installed, and Restarted.. At first it seem to be the same, But then I noticed and big Difference, I was going slower then I should be, and It contunied on, So All I can think is maybe the Tweak was bad.... So I opend it to read inside, and I see where it says "Add This, and Delete This" .. So I thought I would change them around, and Delete what I added and and put back what was there, or atleast according to the INF File... So I did that Click Installed, and Restarted.. Went to get on the web, and Bam Nothing was happening.. I was quite mad.. So I switching it all back to how it came, and I installed Rebooted and It was working, but was back to being slow...

Slow that was about 1 1/2 weeks ago or closer to two weeks... Now Im thinking .. Im chaneging to DSL Sometime this week, or its arriveing this week I should say, Cause My Cable Company is not the best, and Im down alot... So I thought Maybe I should keep the Tweak in and it might make the DSL Faster, But then Again I would never know since I never knew what the speed was oringaly without the tweak ...

So I figure Im going to whatever you guys say to get my system back to the normal Registry hopefully hit back my normal speeds, and await my DSL, and maybe then if this works I can throw in the tweak and see if there is a differnce and if not I always know I can go back to my old settings or so I hope if I can find one without haveing to ReFormat
