Hi Guys...
1st of all let me thak you all for helping me get this far when it comes to computer-Internet security..youv'e all given me some great advice and knowledgeso for that i thank yall...

Got a bit of a situation on my hands guys..

Ive got Zone Alarm Pro and Black Ice defender working side by side...*k*

Does anybody see a problem with that..any advice would be appreciated..

My thaughts were that Black ice is acting as my Intrusion Detection System...Lets face it , it does pick up a hell of allot more then zone alarm , when it comes to seeing whats happening in your network and seeing whats coming your way...

And Zone Alarm is acting as my Firewall..blocking port scans and Port access and all that..
*i just picked up a Sub Seven Port Probe -Count-2 on my BI..
and Z.APro didnt pick it up...

so theres 1 questioin

the other is about zone alarm settings...

I Pulled up my ZoneAlarm , and under Program settings and in the top right hand corner i can see The Internet explorer sighn , The Zone Alarm Sighn , And allso the BlackIce Defender logo..
should i be seing the black ice defender and the zone alarm logo's..?

And just 1more thing that realy is quite important

In the program settings part on Zone Alarm i have this

BlackIceDefender
Internet Explorer
Zone Alarm

whitch ones should i allow server for...
and allso whitch ones should i allow connect...

That ones really got me buggered...

Any help or advice would be appreciated

I have posted a thread like this with TPF and BlackICE and I find it a great thing as long as you keep recent on vulnerabilties on both firewalls and let the better blocker to do all the blocking.

WIZ... Which loads first in the stack? BID or ZA? By what you are saying it is BID.
If you are getting no ZA popups then the incoming interceptions are on BID. Therefore ZA is there for decoration until you drop BID.

Opinion.... Drop BID and keep ZA.

Crok i have Black_Ice set up to start at startup then i bring up Z.A...so first on the stack would be black_ice
Well i was running Black_Ice and a NetBus port probe came through...Straight after that my BlackIce flashed Red and said that There was a NetBus Response coming from my computer...
the NetBus response count is now upto 23.....so im goin to shut Black_Ice down andSee what Z.APro has to say...
