Connection sharing.

My problem is I can't connect to any websites via I.E. or Netscape.. I can however log onto other applications such as ICQ and Gamespy. I'm really stumped on this one, if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Couple of thoughts.....are your browsers setup wizards set to use your LAN to get out (hopefully) or dial up connection still?

If so, is Proxy turned off?

If above are true, then I'd look at DNS info next?

Can you go to a DOS prompt and ping a legitimate IP address? Such as 207.46.197.102? As in "ping 207.46.197.102" at the DOS prompt.

If so, can you ping that same IP address by name, meaning at the DOS prompt, "ping www.microsoft.com"

How is your TCP/IP setup on the network? Static? Auto from a DHCP server? Router involved? Or software sharing?
