You may think that you have stopped anyone from messing with you..... but it isn't so....

Mi static IP address is: xxx.xxx.xxx.10 ...... I don't worry about telling it... because it is IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE EVEN
PING me... they would never find it.

But the problem doesn't end there.... I do have perfect security from that...... but anyone within my network ( that uses
the same ISP ) can logon into my Windows ... I know so because I got into someone else's PC ( with read- write
permissions ) in about 15 minutes...... all I had to do is a scan for that port 139 in my local network ( 10.2.x.x ) and I got
hundreds of PC's waiting to be accesed... I even got into one that had a Web server ( I left a suprise there ). So you ain't
fully secured..... NEVER.

Sr_Matanza, are you bragging or complaining?

I find it amazing how you would post u'r IP address saying that it is impossible for anyone to "even ping you" so you have nothing to worry about, and then go on to say that you are never fully secured.

Many of us here "aren't pingable" as well..does that make us completely secure? Absolutly not. Any type of firewall is not full-proof. If someone is smart-enough and wants to get to you badly enough, you cannot stop them.

And if you knew more about what u were doing with Firewalls, you would be able to stop the people on your network from accessing your machine as well.

Even though you are (or believe you are) not pingable why in heaven's name post what is a virtual key to your front door?

It may well be that someone can do what you think is impossible.

In tests done last night I found my system is not pingable and I am using WinRoute Pro but no way I will give out the key.


SannieRose... The link to the scan site you provided is great. Tried a couple and went to "QuickInspector".
This site asks for a download to be accepted. I won't allow any downloads to test my security. If they have to get in they can try from the outside. Not dropping any defences here.
Haven't checked the others that I haven't used yet.

Type in what you whant to say then create the Macro with the HotKeY Being F5....
hit F5 Continuaslly and you can spam and flood away...so it just shows how Mutch of a DaMn brain they got.
Script Kiddies allso play with web servers and web sights taking or chanding certain HTML and infecting you with a Trojan server..-*Any Server the attcker chooses...~
and ummmmm...yeah so they just doin all the light stuff know what im sayin.~
=Power User's= When your in this catagory you know all the basics of your O/S Back The Front...Have internet knowledge like Port Knoledge and Firewall knowledge :: Tweaking comes in at this stage of the game allso...I Still love Tweaking my O/S And Network CarD..

Sr_Matanza Theres no Possible way anyone on the Net can Even say There close to being hack free or are even 70% secure.
Its just not like that..you Can however patch up certain Holes in O/s 's..Dowload Anti Virus Sftware , And Anti Trojan Software and monitor your computer closely for viruse's or Trojans.
Run a Firewall ...Im Running Tiny Personal Firewall...Stops allot of junk Entering and Leaving my pc right there..
If your on dialup i suggest you do like i did and bind to NetBuie.
There are things people can do to reduce the risk of being ----i use this word litely-----*HACKED*..
Its like being shot at iether you Think Smart And Put On A Bullett Proof Vest..OR ...Cop it sweet and get shot...

BlueJetta, It has to be full by now. How dumb can you get posting your Ip and really thinking you can not be pinged. Thats if he even has a firewall. The ip pinged to easly for me. Right up to his front door. If so it's not even setup right. I hope in the future he learns a little more about security. So at least he has half a chance. Newbie69, Thats a good one. Oh well he will learn soon or later!;)

Actually you're pinging a switch port, not his system. There is an ICMP loop to the switch port (probably to a null interface).

In any case, I'm editing the IP out of his post.
