I am sharing my DSL connection with another person, and we can't seem to get AOL to find the TCP/IP connection , We have it running on AnalogX Proxy software. The host computer finds AOL and signs on fine , but the clients cannot get AOL to work...
PLEASE HELP, this is annoying... We have 2 SEPERATE AOL accounts, all we need to do is both of us sign on our own AOL at any given time

thanks
JP

You have to enable WINSOCKS 4 or 5 on your proxy server software, and configure the AOL client on the client proxy (or the computer not attached to your physical Internet connection, but through your LAN) to use that proxy server. AOL typically uses SOCKS 5, so assign it to SOCKS 5, and specify the IP address of the proxy server on your LAN so it know where to look for a connection. It should look like this..
