the fact that microsoft thought they could make money from owners of win98 by putting win98 and a bunch of updates from www.windowsupdate.com on a cd and selling it as Win98 Second Edition, therse no difference other than that, i think it may come with a newer version of ie, but thats still obtainable from windows update

thanks :)
Win98SE has all of the win98 updates, including the Y2K updates and system & security updates available at tinme of release. It also has ICS, internet connection sharing. That program is not part of win98 nor is there any update or D/L from MS to put ICS on win98. It can't be done.
There are four 98 OS's available from MS on CD:
1. Win98 Full
2. Win98 Update CD (updates all, but no ICS)
3. Win98 Upgrade CD (upgrades win95 & 98 to win98SE)
4. Win98SE Full
