there is something on the win2k CD about making a win2k bootable disk and also you will need 4 blank disks

Notes:
Creating Windows 2000 Setup Boot Disks allows users to install Windows 2000 to a computer that does not support bootable CD's.

You will need four (4) blank formatted 3.5" 1.44MB disks.

Insert the Windows 2000 CD in the computer's CD-ROM drive.

In Windows 95/98/Me or Windows 2000 click Start | Run and in the Open: field enter:

<CD_Drive_Letter>:\bootdisk\makeboot a:

and click OK to continue.

Follow the instructions in the prompts to create the Windows 2000 Setup Boot Disks.

Insert the Windows 2000 Setup Boot Disk 1 in the computer's 3.5" disk drive.

Reboot the computer to start installing Windows 2000.

ditto what Evil Angel said, that's exactly what I did, and the boot disks install all the basic set up files, and then the CD ROM takes over the install from there.
