Every once and awhile I will get VxD file errors while exploring around on the internet, and then I cant reboot or explore anymore on the net, hardboot time. I have roadrunner and my modem is hooked through my USB, so I was reading the troubleshooting section and it was talking about VxD files removing them from CABs 53 and 54 for WIN98SE users and moving them to somewhere else. Well, I checked my Driver File details and mine does say vmm.32 and ntkern.vxd in paranthesises. So can someone PLEASE HELP ME, I am sick and tired of hardbooting all the time. :(

Here is what it says:

An exception OE has occured at 0028:C0031A54 in VxD - - -. This was called from 0028:C00301F9 in VxD - - -. It may be possible to continue normally press any key to contine or ctrl alt del to reboot.

Thats it. Guess what Im pressing, yup, ctrl alt del. Never can continue.

Oh yeah, When I reboot my backround goes black like it is rebooting the a little blue box comes up that reads "Frequency Over Range" and it automaticly reboots then.

someone please help me, this has been going on long enough. :(

Frequency over range...In display properties change your refresh rate to adapter default. As for the vxd...clean out your startup in msconfig. Then get back with me.
