I've done some experimenting. According to MS, Windows Scaling enables support up to 1 Gig.....but obviously we are limited by the ISP's limits & our hardware.....but does anyone have any ideas? Take a look at some of the results I got running a few test's........it seemed to increase until I added the 8 Meg value.

You see with RWIN that big yes it speeds things up, but you are not reciving all your download, if you download a progran it will probably not work as you did not recieve all packets, so we try to give out numbers that will allow to to go as quickley as possible, but the most important thing, is that you recieve all the packets (download):)

Not sure what you mean. With those high values, I did D/L programs completely. I do agree that IE is UNSTABLE at higher RWIN, but I think it noticebly increased transfer. At 513920 my file took 4Min 38sec at 334K/average. At 4111360 my file took 3Min 14sec at 479K/avergae. I know the network could vary, but the test's were done within 8 minutes of eachother. Basically I went from D/L at a rate of around 20Megs a Minute to 27Megs a Minute. Also, I notice that webpages load MUCH more qucikly, but again, it seems more unstable.
PS...... I am going to try these tweaks on a new Workstatin
Dual P4 1.7 w/ 1Gig Rambus RAM

I'll let ya know.
