I can't seem to get any value except "65535" for RWIN regardless of the value that I input to regedit when using the site analysis program. I have run the MS VTCP386 fix and also downloaded and installed the latest vtcp.386 from the web and still get the same value. I'm running Win98 SE on an Pentium 3 700Mhz machine and using Netscape 4.xx. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Bob

Thanks for the response. Can you please provide the registry path to TCP1323OPTS ?

This page tells how and where here (http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_registry.shtml) :) :)

Thanks, Lobo, I edited the TCP1323Opts value to "0" and still any value above 64240 yields "65535" even though the analysis line reads "Unscaled Receive Window=65535" If I set in 64240, I get back 64240 on the analysis line. Is there any other parameter that could affect this? I have tried to creat a link to the analysis results page below. Don't know if it will work.

Thanks, Bob

Set Tcp1323Opts to 1 (one) , reboot, retest, repost.

I reset Tcp1323Opts to "1", rebooted with RWIN set to 128480 and got the same result, "65535".

Please click in my signature where it says Test your tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.

Tcp1323Opts is not set to 1, see above, set to 1 and REBOOT before anything

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I tried to change the variable to "1" twice more with the same result. Then I compared the previously printed version of the Tweaks that I was using dated 8/9/00 with the current on-line version. The 8/9/00 version defines Tcp1323Opts as a "DWORD decimal variable"!!! All I needed to do was to define the variable properly and everything worked fine. (See below). Now, I guess that I had better review all the other tweaks to be sure that I have not missed another revision(correction). Many thanks to you for your perserverance with someone who should have known better than to make this amateurish mistake.
