What I would like to know is do they matter in tweaking, I have been using them, so what do the bosses say:) :)

System specs, everytime I ask for them, someone else comes along and says you don't need them

I think sys specs do matter when i comes to cable but only cable.

they matter to an extent like if someone doesnt mention there using a 386 and wonders why there cable or dsl is slow lol

but must ppl have over a 233 pentium with 64 megs of ram now-a-days and thats all u need for cable maybe 350 for dsl.

IMO

xbit, why would CPU size and RAM not matter in DSL:)

Are you talking about choosing an rwin for a system or the speed. If you are is because dsl works diffrently than cable. Lower rwins are fine for dsl but not for cable. The only numbers on my cable modem that give me 7+mbps are 76403 and anything above 513920.

They dont matter one bit, as long as you can run the ISP's software, etc.

Your CPU wont care what RWIN you use. TCP/Ip does, and the packetloss you get.

System specs
They were not supposed to matter over here, but over there:

I dont develop the tweaks, but I research thru them and see what they do. Let me know what you need first, and list system specs
:)
