2mb adsl and ping 70 :O

Hi all. I have this fast adsl which downloads at propers speeds, but latency in multiplayer games is aful (about 70). i have tried tweaks but they didnt help me very much. my friends who have 128K adsls and the same isp have pings about 30 on the same servers i use.My computer is 700mhz athlon,msi 6167 motherboard. my network card is target networks 10/100mb card (national semiconductor dp83815 10/100 chip). i have win 2000. is there anything i can do or du i just have to accept my fat connection.

No tweak will help your ping. with dsl it all depends on the phone lines. There is one thing that will lower your ping by about 5-12ms. Ask halflifer about this proram.

Ok, different servers will provide different pings. Im not always a sub 50 pinger. The server will make quite the difference, not the speed of your connection.
