In counterstrike, when editing the shortcut value to
-counterstrike -nojoy -noipx -numericping
it runs faster. Are there others? Thnx.
Not really.. Those are the three I use
Except it is -game cstrike not -counterstrike ;)

-heapsize is one that allocates your RAM to the game. You usually do 75% RAM allocated to it. Like if you have 128MB of ram do -heapsize 96000(KBs) Some people do better when half-life allocates the RAM by itself just try it and find out.

The heapsize is useless in my mind because A.) half life manages the memory well and B.) win 2k uses it all wisely.
and C.) Ive read a lot of places that is slows performance because its static.

And no those commands wont get you more frames... those three activate CS, show pings in numbers, I forgot what no joy did...
I acctually dont use no joy i use -noipx that can speed your load times up because it doesnt look to see if you have it.
(you would know if you had IPX installed)

Right click on the Shortcut to HL/TFc/ or CS and on the command line, put those there.

no joy is no joystick :)
